In place today

• Filtered chat. Messages are cleaned of control characters and common slurs and profanity are masked before anyone sees them.
• Rate limits. Nobody can flood chat: sending too many messages too quickly is blocked.
• Chat isn’t stored. Messages go live to players nearby and are not saved.
• Moderators. The NEXUS team can mute or ban players who make NEXUS worse for others.
• No real money. Nothing is for sale for real money and nothing can be traded between players, which takes away most reasons to scam.
• Private Pockets. Your Pocket is yours alone. Spark scripts can’t reach accounts, the network or other players’ data.

Coming later

As players get more ways to build and meet (visiting Pockets, making worlds), NEXUS will need more: in-game reporting and blocking, moderation for things players make, and clear rules for younger players. They’ll arrive before the features that need them.
